CO2 extraction is the process of extracting the essential cannabis oil from plant matter by using supercritical CO2. Supercritical CO2 is a fluid state of carbon dioxide where it is held at or above it’s critical temperature and critical pressure. This allows the carbon dioxide to separate from the desired elements in the plant — in this case, a cannabis plant.
